Come play with the WZSO

"The World Zoroastrian Symphony Orchestra (WZSO) is now in the recruiting stage for Zoroastrians who wish to perform in Dubai. I would be truly grateful if you can spread the word — in and out of Parsiana — so we can have some representation from Mumbai and other cities in India,” notes Chicago Symphony Orchestra resident conductor Farobag Homi Cooper.

Cooper has conducted the WZSO ever since it was first launched in Houston during the Seventh World Zoroastrian Congress in 2000. Though it was not featured at the Eighth World Zoroastrian Congress in London in 2005, efforts are on to get Zoroastrian practitioners of western classical music to come together for a performance at the Ninth Congress in Dubai at the end of 2009. During the biennial North American Zoroastrian Congresses however the Orchestra has featured in the evening celebrations.
