After the jashan Arnavaz Mistry, the social worker who looks after the Parsi Ward, spoke about its various activities. The Ward has 45 Parsi residents, both men and women, many of them old, infirm, some of them bedridden, occupying the eight spacious rooms on the ground and first floor of the building located in the J. J. Hospital complex. Jejeebhoy graciously offered continuing help and support while Tirandaz lauded the good work being done there. The first floor of the Ward was fully renovated and refurbished in 2004 from a handsome donation of two million rupees from the Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy Trust and the benevolent Zartoshty brothers from Iran. Philanthropic persons were urged to continue their generous support to the institution by contacting Mistry: tel: 24147646, 24150917; mobile: 9821009289; e-mail: arnavazjal@ rediffmail.com
The traditional Navroz drink of icecream falooda and other snacks were served to those present after the jashan.
