Freedom of choice

Today the younger generation and liberals talk loftily of freedom of choice without considering its consequences. In the kusti prayer Jasa Me Avanghe Mazda there is mention of "Fravarane astu tascha,” which means freedom to select the way of life as one pleases. But guidance is given in the same prayer where it is mentioned that selection must be with "humatem mano” (good intentions), "hukhtem vacho” (advantageous speech) and "hvarshtem” (benevolent action). So there is a voice of caution about freedom of choice.
Every action has a reaction. Those who behave according to their whims must be prepared for the consequences of their actions. Men are social creatures who live in society, so their behavior must remain within decent standards. Every society, association, organization, educational institution and club has its own code of behavior, rules and regulations that members have to follow. No one has the freedom of choice to behave in an unmannerly fashion and create a nuisance in society. In order to live amicably people must observe certain limitations, boundaries, etiquette and protocol.
In the modern age, liberty should not be changed into licence to live a "free life.” Liberals challenge society and cross the limits and choose to live together with their life partner without going through the legal marriage process. Such behavior is shameful. Humanity is manifested through morality, which is required when one selects a spouse for a happy married life.
Old customs and traditions can be changed if they become outdated in modern times, but no one has the right to change the tenets and standards of behavior based on the firm foundation of morality. Tenets can never be outdated, as they are predicated with foresight and vision by wise Magvans who are in tune with Mazda.
