Demeaning activity

Maligning prospective candidates for the Bombay Parsi Punchayet elections is indeed unbecoming of our community members, irrespective of the candidates concerned. It just makes for disgusting reading from the gossip mill. Whether the information propagated is true or otherwise, it is a demeaning activity and must be discouraged. If you have something good to say about others — say it. If not, let people find out the facts for themselves. They are not as ignorant as you imagine.

Such messages smack of mud-slinging and only aggravate the prevailing negative feelings in the community. There will not be a single ideal candidate if we start witch-hunting and maligning our community members. "Let him (or her) who has not sinned cast the first stone.”
