Opening new windows

Identifying opportunities early and riding India’s Information Technology (IT) and outsourcing waves, Poona-based entrepreneur Umeed Ko­tha­vala has over the last few years taken his company Extentia Information Technology up a consistent growth path. In April 2008, Extentia joined forces with F. E. Core Solutions to form Extencore Solutions Private Limited.
"This is a very exciting opportunity for us. Extencore will be able to take advantage of Extentia’s global presence and access to markets, while benefiting from improved infrastructure and operational synergies. We’re delighted that this partnership has been cemented,” Kothavala stated.



Umeed Kothavala: strong IT growth path


Extencore Solutions is a global engineering services company providing CAD (computer-aided design), CAE (computer-aided engineering), CFD (computational fluid dynamics) and allied engineering solutions in the manufacturing, automobile and related segments. Presently, its offices are located in Poona, Pittsburgh in the US and Koln in Germany. Speaking at the inauguration of Extencore’s new Poona office, Dr Marc Cremer, director of German operations stated: "Given the high global demand for Extencore’s services, we’re actively looking for support and partners with whom we can collaborate and with whom we continue to create compelling solutions for our customers.”


Farzin Irani and Naazneen Boocha: extensive IT solutions


Kothvala holds a Master’s degree in computer science from the prestigious Purdue University in the US. He is director of operations and the key executive manager for Extencore’s Indian operations, notes its website www.exten­core.com On the team are Farzin Irani, engineering manager who is responsible for project execution and for adapting and implementing latest market trends in IT. Naazneen Boocha is the business head, in charge of project delivery and managing the technical group within Extencore.
