Joyous feast of song
The Third Inter-School Singing Competition of the Time and Talents Club generated an overwhelming response, informs Kamal Mulla, the Club’s president. Held on November 24, 2006 in collaboration with the National Centre for the Performing Arts at the Experimental Theatre, about 300 children from 35 schools in Bombay participated in the group singing and solo performances in all categories – Indian and Western, classical and popular.

Students of the Happy Home and School for the Blind display trophies won at the Time and Talents Club contest
The competition was judged by eminent personalities in the field of music. Happy Home and School for the Blind walked away with the trophy in the Western group singing category, while Dr S. Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya was victorious in Indian group singing. Tara Sutaria of The Bai Avabai F. Petit Girls’ High School was the best soloist in the Western category. The event was supported by Parle Products Private Limited and Furtados, the well known music store.
Time and Talents Club is synonymous with the superlative music it has brought to Bombay over the 70 years of its existence including performances by leading orchestras of the world and renowned musicians like Yehudi Menuhin, Ravi Shankar, Ustad Vilayat Khan and Zubin Mehta.
