Not a terrorist
Rusi Mulla, owner of a spare parts manufacturing unit, was acquitted of terrorist and conspiracy charges by Justice Pramod Kode of the special Terrorists and Disruptive Activities (TADA) court on November 30, though he was convicted under the Arms Act, reports The Times of India (November 30, 2006).
An unassuming, family-loving man Mulla, according to his friends, was unwittingly drawn into the case when Kersi Adajania, owner of a steel fabrication business and Sanjay Dutt’s hunting partner, left a sealed parcel at his house when he was not there saying he would collect it later. When Adajania failed to do so Mulla requested theater owner Ajay Marwah to deliver it to Adajania. Mulla maintained that he never knew
the physical contents of the parcel.
