ZOY welcomes you

All Zoroastrians under the age of 35 residing in the Australasian region are invited to join the ZorOz Youth (ZOY), according to the March 2006 issue of the Zoroastrian Association of Victoria’s newsletter Rathaeshtar. ZOY is described as a network of people connected via a Yahoo! Web group. "We have no affiliation with any particular association and no political agenda. We exist simply to bring Zoroastrians in our part of the world together, to exchange information, connect with each other and make new friends,” notes the Rathaeshtar entry.
Aiming at unity and friendship, ZOY members can send emails to the whole group or individual members, find out about Zoroastrian events and news and meet people at organized gatherings. The first ZOY meeting in Melbourne over the Easter break was a small but successful one, notes the write-up. There is also the opportunity to meet other members of the group while traveling.
To join the ZOY sign up by visiting http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ZorOzYouth or email any of the following stating the region where you live and your date of birth: Monaz Wadia in New South Wales (monaz_w@ hotmail.com), Tanaz Bhathawalla of Victoria (tanazb@hotmail.com), Shahrukh Khambatta in New Zealand (shanewz@yahoo.com.au) or Delara Mistry in Western Australia and for all other regions(mistrydel@hotmail. com).
Members can choose their level of involvement. While members can sign up for the mailing list and receive emails at the email account of their choice, representatives moderate all messages sent through this group to eliminate junk mail.
