Agra’s appeal

In its heyday 50 years ago the Agra Parsi Anjuman had a membership of 1,000 people. Many people left for greener pastures, others retired and settled elsewhere. Many unfortunately also departed the world and now rest in our aramgah.
We are now only nine members at Agra trying to maintain the aramgah and dharamshala, a near impossible task without funds. It is unfair that the remaining few members are expected to maintain the aramgah whereas those who should be concerned do not come forward to offer help or take up any responsibility for the upkeep of the aramgah.
Relatives of those buried here come to pay obeisance and complain of poor upkeep. But none have come forward to help in maintaining the aramgah. May we request them to give a one-time donation of at least Rs 5,000 in memory of their departed family member?
Funds may be forwarded to the undersigned at Rustam Bagh, Per-tabpura, Agra 282001.
Dr RATI KHAMBATA
Secretary, Agra Parsi Anjuman
