Free faith

With the advent of the ARZ (Association for Revival of Zoroastrianism) which has converted a flat in Colaba into a prayer hall, the children of Parsi Zoroastrian mothers will be able to worship and have their navjote performed with the permission of their non-Parsi fathers. I hasten to add that outright conversion is not advisable of members of different religious denominations in this wonderful country which gave us refuge and till this day encourages us to practice our faith as Zarathushtis.
We are no longer blue-blooded.The Anglo-Indians, the descendants of the British, French and Portuguese conquerors of India, with grace and an admirable sense of humor admit their mixed parentage.
