“We seek your…”

With regards to "We seek your understanding” (Parsiana, October 21, 2005) I personally do not object to intercaste marriages between Indian Parsi Zoroastrians and Iranian Parsi Zoroastrians. What I object to is outcaste marriages between the Parsi and other communities. The main reasons being not to pollute the ethnicity of Parsi Zoroastrians. Customs and practices can be adjusted by each other but the main aspect is to preserve the ethnicity, which is the basis of the Zoroastrian philosophy.
