Maiden names

In the column "So they say,” (Parsiana, July 21, 2005) from the Afternoon Despatch and Courier of July 4, 2005, High Priest, Dastur (Dr) Firoze M. Kowal is quoted as saying that "If a Parsi/Irani lady is married outside the religion then one cannot include her name in prayers as her non-Parsi/Irani husband’s name cannot be said in the prayers.” Would it then imply that her name can be included if she chooses or has been using her maiden name, as is the practice these days? In the same column Ervad Khushru Madan is quoted: "It is not fair to the women who have married outside the community. There are a lot of liberal agiaries that do not exclude this expanding group of women from the prayers but join their names with their father’s.” Similarly, if the progeny of these ladies use their mother’s name, would they have the same privilege?
