“No entry”
I read Shiraz K. Doongaji’s letter "No entry,” (Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, July 21, 2005) and the editors’ reply. Immediately I decided to subscribe to Parsiana and enclosed a cheque for Rs 1,500; Rs 500 being my subscription and balance Rs 1,000 for two gift subscriptions to any two associations/libraries of their choice, so that the views of Parsiana can be spread.
Liberty of Press and free expression of one’s views are the corner stones of democracy and liberty. Thomas Jefferson became famous for his speech that ended with the prayer "give me liberty or give me death.”

The editors reply
We are indeed grateful to Noshir Lam for his spontaneous response to our clarification. It reaffirms our belief that the bulk of the community is made up of fair-minded, middle-of-the-road individuals who value democratic ideals.
