Light reflection

There is only one reason why we are on earth and that is to find our true "spiritual self,” our true "inner being.” To help us in this quest, prophets are sent to this earth from time to time according to the spiritual evolution of a certain race. A prophet’s work is to plant the seeds, the growth of which will be useful to future generations. When his work is done, the prophet disappears, but his message remains for centuries in those souls which are sensitive enough to respond to it.
To establish the Zoroastrian religion, Prophet Zarathushtra was sent to earth by Ahura Mazda, the "Lord of Creation” (as he is referred to in the Gathas). As he grew up, Zarathushtra saw the "light” pulsating throughout nature in animals, plants, trees, pebbles, sands, hills and rivers. This light is the power of Ahura Mazda, permeating the Universe. This fact is now acknowledged by even the most skeptical scientist, that light (along with life and love) is present in every atom of matter throughout the Universe, with God as its life-current. In its physical connotation, light is the most subtle, the most tangible of all things in nature which humans register physically through the sense of sight. Light is the most ethereal matter known to man. It is the most complex element that science can handle and even the various types of invisible rays, like ultra-violet and infra-red are but variations of light which vibrate beyond the power of our retina to grasp. In our religion, fire is referred to as "God’s son” since it is the perfect symbol of that heavenly spark within our soul. When you pray to fire, yielding your heart and mind to God, you turn instinctively to your creator Ahura Mazda through the medium of light.
All matter is augmented out of light, whether it’s your physical body or the chair you are sitting on, because matter itself is nothing but condensation of radiant energy of light. Therefore it is not wrong to say that God is present everywhere. This truth is impersonal and universal, accepted by the scientist as well as the mystic.
The perception of this energy begins with a heightened sensitivity to Nature’s beauty, when colors and shapes seem magnified and you can see the light (energy fields or aura) hovering about every tree, flower, even a blade of grass. The two periods of the day most conducive to feeling, seeing and experiencing this light (aura) are sunrise and sunset.
When you can see and feel this light around every living creature, your own energy field (aura) gets larger as you appreciate the beauty and uniqueness on earth, at which point, your energy field and that of the universe are the same. To "see” and "feel” light is a mystical experience, but you can’t hold it for long. At times we get this mystical experience when praying to the holy fire inside an agiary or atash behram. A feeling that "I’m not this body, nor am I this mind. I’m pure light.”
To experience this, empty your mind of all the mental conditioning (kachra) you have collected over the years. Make your mind silent, still and in this silence you will see the light. This is the light of "Garothman Behesht” which we leave behind at physical birth when we enter the physical plane and this is the light we merge into at the end of the tunnel at death. This is the light that is translated as "Asha” or "Purity for the sake of purity” in Zoroastrianism, brought to us by Zoroaster, the "Prophet of light.”
