Tata tomb

On a recent visit to Père Lachaise, Paris, I took a few photographs of the tomb of the "Famille R. D. Tata.”

Should it interest your readers, the "Famille R. D. Tata” grave is located in Plot No 1/77 to 1/88. The nearest porte (entrance) is Gambetta which can be accessed either by metro and/or auto­buses nos. 26, 60, 61, 69 or 102. The grounds are normally peaceful and quiet with facilities for meditation/prayers irrespective of the faith adhered to. The family tomb bears inscriptions in Hindi/Gujarati.

Among the inscriptions is: "Jehangir R. D. Tata, Bharat Ratna, Commandeur De La Légion d’Honneur, Né le 2 Julliet 1904, Décédé le 29 Novembre 1993.”
