BPP: Bonus update

Bonus cheques have been issued to the Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) employees today after consent terms were filed in the Labour Court, states Mumbai Mazdoor Sabha general secretary Dhunji Naterwalla. Leave travel and medical allowances will be paid on November 5, he added.
The consent terms permit the BPP six months to discuss the employees' charter of demands during which time the employees will not agitate, Naterwalla said. The lawyers of both parties played a crucial role in arriving at the settlement, he noted.
