Navsari votes for an aramgah on their Doongerwadi lands

By a vote of 156 to six the Navsari Samast Jarthosti General Fund had favored the use of a portion of the Doongerwadi lands for an
aramgah (burial ground), trustee and honorary secretary Yezdi
Kasad informed Parsiana. The five high priests had opposed the proposal. Other
anjumans in Gujarat are likely to follow Navsari's lead. Disposal of the dead in the
dakhma (Tower of silence) will continue.
Kasad said
meeting went very well. Everything was peaceful. The trustees present were

Hormaz Avari.
Kasad noted that Noshir Sabawalla readily agreed to give Khurshedwadi for the meeting after Sir Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy refused permission at the last moment for the use of Jamshed Baug
