An agiary-in-waiting
"There are two alternatives for the proposed agiary in New Bombay,” according to Sharukh Doctor, president of The New Bombay Zoroastrian Association Charitable Trust (TNBZACT). "We either convert it to a dadgah or look for a second holy fire.”
He informs Parsiana that the course of action on the stay granted by the Bharuch district court on July 15, 2016 on the shifting of the holy fire from the Doongaji Agiary there to New Bombay, is being debated by the trustees of that Agiary.
The trustees of the Doongaji Agiary will meet with legal counsel Burjor Antia on Friday, July 22 to get his views on the way ahead.
TNBZACT and the trustees of the Bharuch Agiary trust will then meet with Dastur Khurshed Dastur for his advice in the next week.
