Race and religion
Race and religion/ Does it even matter?/ I recall a certain adage:/ "Never judge a book/ By its cover.”
Zoroastrians are exactly/ As pure as driven snow/ Some of us (Zoroastrians)/ Do practice racism discrimination/ Racism towards our women folk.
Asho Zarathushtra doesn’t condone/ Racism, discrimination, bigotry/ Nor does He condone the/ Twisted messages down/ People’s throats.
High time the Zoroastrian community/ Stood in unity to figure out a way/ To bring down the wall. FARIDA BAMJI

It is indeed sad that we make this a big issue. If this close -within-the-community marriages stop, WE WILL DISSOLVE N DISAPPEAR FROM THIS EARTH. Our ancestors were not fools. They created this rule to prevent extinction. It is simple logic, Children of mixed marriages, will practise paternal religion (bearing a few exceptions). We love n respect all humans; but not at the risk of perishing. Have you studied these children ? Can you please, let us know how many of them follow our religion. How many fathers n their families would like this; especially when the benefits given to Parsis are denied to them. Easy to demand rights; but what about duties ? When we know, we are on the verge of extinction, can't WE PLEDGE TO MARRY A HUMDIN N MULTIPLY. ISN'T THAT OUR FOREMOST DUTY? WHY DON'T WE PART AMICABLY. PRACTISE THE RELIGION THE WAY YOU WISH. LIVE N LET LIVE WITHOUT STAMPING THE OTHER'S TOES WOULD BE THE BEST WAY. Armin Dutia Motashaw.
