No help for Ghandy?

It grieves me to see how disgracefully Kobad Ghandy has been treated for the last many years. Though evidence against him is flimsy and uncorroborated, the poor man is being needlessly detained. The only ‘evidence’ against him seems to be his ideology.
What I am surprised at, however, is that despite having so many illustrious lawyers in the community, not one person has decided to take up his worthy cause. This is indeed a great shame.

The editors reply:
Eminent jurist Fali Nariman did offer assistance but the matter was in the trial court at the time. Ghandy’s legal well-wishers believed it was better to get a judgment here and then move the higher courts. Hopefully that should happen now.
