“Reaching for the light”

In the letter "Reaching for the light” (Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, May 21, 2016) Sheeroy Sunawala has referred to Air Chief Marshal Fali Major (retd) observing that a number of diktats from the Vendidad are not being followed even by priests, so why make people "outcastes” when they do not opt for dakhmenashini?
If Major reads Fargads 3, 6 and 7 of the Vendidad, he will find in them a distinct sanction against the dakhmas.
