“Lend me your ears”

I refer to "Lend me your ears” (Politics and Policy, Parsiana, June 7, 2015). As one who was born and brought up in Mancherji Joshi Dadar Parsi Colony (DPC), I wish to publicly appreciate, through your magazine, the efforts made by Dadi Mistry, Katy Bhaka, Zarir Bhathena, Silloo Billimoria, Dinshaw Tamboly and others for supporting the opposition of DPC residents to the advent of hawkers in the Colony. I hope the labor minister and the municipal commissioner will take the necessary action to nip this proposal in the bud.

In the same issue, on page 16, the captions for the eight photographs are difficult to follow. If a number is placed on the right hand corner of each photo it will be easy for the reader to make out who is who from the caption. I was unable to tell who was holding the cut- out of Maneckji Limji Hataria (see photo below).
