Avesthagen’s global growth
Among the 17 fastest growing Indian companies that have been invited to join the World Economic Forum Global Growth Companies community is Avesthagen India, the Bangalore based biotechnology firm helmed by Dr Villoo Morawalla-Patell. She received the honor at the India Economic Summit held in Delhi from November 4-6, 2014.

We look forward to the active and dynamic role they will play at our meeting in New Delhi, working with the region’s leaders to foster inclusive, sustainable growth in the region,” said David Aikman, managing director and head of New Champions at the World Economic Forum in a press release issued prior to the awards function.
Avesthagen is a leading life science company "pioneering the convergence between food, pharma and population genetics leading to predicting preventive personalized healthcare,” states its website. Morawalla-Patell, who founded Avasthagen in 1998, is an academic entrepreneur who has done pioneering work in the field of molecular biology and established long standing professional relationships with individuals, institutions and corporate entities in the field worldwide.
