For having the highest number of winners in an essay competition — four — Girton High School (GHS) won the Rotating Trophy at the prize distribution ceremony of the of the K. R. Cama Oriental Institute (KRCOI) on April 10, 2013. In the front row are (L-R) Pourichisti C. Dubash, then principal of the School, Dr Nawaz B. Mody, joint honorary secretary, KRCOI, Dr Villy N. M. Cama, GHS trustee and Neeta Premchand, paper historian. The prizes were distributed by Premchand, who is currently researching the history of paper making in India, when she gave a talk on "From Pulp to Paper, the History and Technique of an Ancient Craft." The essay competition was held on December 15, 2012, and each participant was given a different topic to write on.
