A keen cyclist himself, Farhad Bomanjee of Kala Ghoda Café (KGC) is offering a free cup of coffee or tea to anyone who comes to his Café on a bicycle on Sundays. Located in a little lane inside Bombay’s Fort area, the Café is a great favorite with regulars, mostly youngsters armed with laptops, who enjoy each others’ company, the beverages and the limited but gourmet snacks on the menu.

Kala Ghoda Cafe encourages cyclists

Bomanjee himself often cycles up to Juhu, mentions Malavika Sangghvi in her column "Malavika’s Mumbai” published in Mid Day on May 23, 2012. A notice in the Cafe reads: "Cycle Sundays. Come to the KGC on your bike anytime on Sundays, and get a free hot coffee or tea.” A great initiative as the Fort, in the heart of the downtown business area, is usually deserted over the weekend.
