Let’s party at Landmark!
It is nearly a year since The Landmark, belonging to Ratan Tata Industrial (RTI) institute, reopened in its new avatar as a party room, administrator Shernaz Acharya mentioned to Parsiana over the telephone. In its earlier short-lived manifestation The Landmark had functioned as a restaurant run by the RTI. Last year the trustees decided to make better use of the premium premises on Hughes Road and reinvented it as a 40-seater party hall.
Used mainly for children’s birthday parties, kitty parties, coffee mornings, conferences, seminars and meetings, the hall is available in two three-hour slots, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. Charges for the morning slot are Rs 2,750 plus 10.33 percent service tax, while afternoon bookings attract a charge of Rs 3,850 plus 10.33 percent service tax, Acharya informed Parsiana. Catering is available from the adjacent main RTI outlet. Food items like sandwiches, samosas, etc may also be ordered by the dozen, Acharya elaborates. Unfortunately, footfalls have fallen short of expectations as no liquor can be served on the premises, and bookings remain at a meager one or perhaps two in a month.
