30 years behind the lens

The first Parsi lady videographer, Armaity Rashid Baman­behram, known for her competent handling of the camera, has completed three decades in the profession. She and her husband Rashid, who specializes in still photography, are a frequent sight at Parsi weddings and navjotes, though their services are sought by members of other communities as well and by persons from the film world, reveals a press release received from them. Rashid, who took up photography when he was still in school, has completed 43 years as a professional photographer.



Armaity Bamanbehram: competent with the camera


Giving full credit to her husband for his support, Armaity says he "is my mentor and guide in everything I do.” The couple works together as a team, using their own equipment, handling both digital video as well as digital photography. Theirs being a seasonal business, they admit that they have to work very hard for the duration.
