“Reining in the... - II”
In "Reining in the radicals - II” (Parsiana, November 7, 2010) you have quoted Khojeste Mistree as saying at the meeting of the Federation of the Parsi Zoroastrian Anjumans of India on October 9, 2010, "We have to recognize ethnicity and not just religion. Has any religion survived without ethnicity?”
Whilst recognizing Mistree’s scholarship, I would like to remind him that both Christianity and Islam have survived and are thriving precisely because they are not bound by ethnicity. There are European Christians and African Christians, European Muslims and Asian Muslims.
