PZASH welcomes Major

"I am proud to be a Parsi and happy that so many people from our community have excelled and made a mark in every field they have entered,” said Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major while being felicitated by the Parsi Zoroastrian Anjuman of Secunderabad and Hyderabad (PZASH) on December 10, 2008 at the Parsi Dharamsala in the twin cities, J. D. Batliwalla, honorary secretary of the Anjuman informed Parsiana in a write-up. Gulbanoo Y. Chenoy, president of PZASH welcomed Major and spoke eloquently of his manifold achievements. Mementos were presented to the Air Chief on behalf of PZASH, the Zoroastrian Club and the Zoroastrian Stree Mandal, the write-up mentions.

Fali Major: on a nostalgia trip

Major was very nostalgic about his early years which he had spent in Secunderabad, where he was born and raised. He recollected his alma mater Wesley High School and thanked the community for all the help and support they had extended to his family while they resided in the twin cities. The Parsi Irani Zoroastrians of Secunderabad and Hyderabad are indeed proud of their very own Chief of the Indian Air Force, Batliwalla’s write-up concludes.
