BPA pays homage
The Bombay Parsee Association (BPA) paid homage to Dadabhai Naoroji on his 182nd birth anniversary on September 4, 2007. Garlands were placed on the statue of the patriot at Flora Fountain by BPA president Vispi S. Dastur, the Navsari Parsi Association, Rahnumae Mazdiyasni Sabha, Yezdi Desai and the Bombay Municipal Corporation. Rich tributes were paid by Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) chairman Minoo Shroff, BPP trustee and Navsari Parsi Association president Burjor Antia, trustee and joint honorary secretary of the K. R. Cama Oriental Institute Homai Modi, BPP public relations officer Godrej Dotivala, writer and activist Marzban Giara and Dastur.

On September 7, 2007, Fravardin mah, Fravardin roj, the BPA commemorated members of the armed forces who had sacrificed their lives for the country during World War I and in subsequent wars by laying wreaths at the War Memorial at Khareghat Colony on Hughes Road.

Present at the ceremony were Homi Ranji and K. Sarkari of the Khareghat Colony Welfare Association, Aloo Shroff, Tehmina Peer, Soli Mistry, Rusi and Gev Bhamgara. Wreaths were placed by Dastur, Antia, Dotivala, Mehli Colah of the BPP and Khojeste Mistree. Rich tributes were paid to the brave members of the armed forces and prayers were conducted by Ervad Cyrus Dastoor and Mistry.
