Innovative methods

In these days of advanced technology we should be considering innovative methods for disposal of the dead which may be acceptable to all while being environment friendly. Instead of protracted arguments and rising tempers we should debate calmly on this issue.

Find a chemical compound that would consume the dead body totally. I believe we could use it in our existing dakhmas by making some minor changes in their internal layout. We must search for a method to treat the consumed chemicals and fumes that may be generated by erecting a treatment plant. Perhaps the cleaned liquid may be reusable; if not, a disposal site could be prepared nearby. If the treatment is done properly there will be no question of contaminating the ground.

Time is running out. We must carry out a cost benefit study for quick implementation of the new method. Our community has been in the forefront in almost every field, so let us prove once again that we are capable of solving our problems unitedly and peacefully, taking into consideration the sentiments of all communities. Let us keep our forefathers’ promise to the nation that we shall mix with all and not be a nuisance to any.
