Errata

In Rohinton Mehta’s report "Fading glory” (Parsiana, August 21, 2005) pertaining to Parsi sportspersons who were accorded a special felicitation on January 29, 2005 to mark the silver jubilee of the All Parsees Annual Athletic Meet, Capt Sohrab Contractor’s name was inadvertently omitted. We regret the error.

Contractor excelled in yachting and was the national champion in 1967, 1969 and 1970 and the South Asian Champion in 1971. He also won the bronze medal at the Asian Games at Bangkok. He was the first Indian to participate in yachting at the Olympics in 1972 as also the first Arjuna Awardee for yachting.

Ervad Marzban Bhesania is the administrative consultant of the Athornan Mandal and not the body’s secretary as erroneously stated in the editorial "Defaming the dedicated” (Parsiana, October 21, 2005). Parsiana regrets the error.
