School in Sanjan
"This new school building constructed in June 2003 is dedicated to the memory of Shri Nani Ardeshir Palkhivala, India's renowned and eminent jurist by Homi P. Ranina, chairman, Mazda Educational Foundation, proprietor of Jadi Rana High School, Ghimaniya Village, Talasari taluka, Maharashtra," read the plaque on the ground floor of the three-storeyed building.
Realizing that there was no English medium school near Sanjan, the Mazda Educational Foundation started the Jadi Rana School in 1987, notes a report by Marzban Giara. The institution gradually became a high school in 1996 and the first batch of 24 students appeared for their SSC (Secondary School Certificate) examination in March 2003, bringing cent percent results. Of the 755 students at present, five are Parsis. With Y. G. Solanki as its principal, the day-to-day management of the School is entrusted to a local committee comprising Rohintan and Bapsy Daviervala, Haresh Desai, Nariman Balsara, Dawood Patel, Hosi Wankadia and others.

Jadi Rana High School in Sanjan
The well equipped School has a science laboratory, a computer laboratory and a library. The new School building was made possible with a donation of Rs 60 lakhs from Ranina and the keen interest of secretary Haresh Desai in supervising its construction.
Prior to this School the children in Sanjan would travel by shuttle train to attend the English medium School in Dahanu. The Wonderland Nursery run by Bapsy Daviervala from her residence reportedly has 300 children enrolled in the nursery and kindergarten classes.
