“The significant sudreh”

The evil influence of TV, cinema and Internet has brainwashed our youngsters. Recently I read in Parsiana ("The significant sudreh,” Books, Parsiana, June 2002) that the Zoroastrian youth in America believe that wearing of sudreh-kusti is not essential, rather a matter of choice.
This proves our youngsters are ignorant, misinformed and lack an understanding of the principles of our divine religion. Wearing of sudreh protects us from druj (impurities and evil influence). Kusti prayers are a form of communicating with Ahura Mazda. It was reported in Parsiana ("Grace and graciousness,” In Memoriam, Parsiana, September 2001) that Soonu Godrej and her husband Naoroji (of Godrej and Boyce) did not wear the sudreh-kusti regularly. Following the stabbing incident in 1979, the couple opted to wear those religious garments again.
What next should we expect from our youngsters? Not to wear a cap while visiting our holy places just because we are hotheaded?
